What this Garden Especially is Known For.

Mediterranean climate plants from all parts of the world which share that climate--Chile, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, countries surrounding the Mediterranean, northern & central California. The Mezo-American Cloud Forest garden is unique and lovely.

San Francisco's climate allows the garden to flourish all year long. There is always something in bloom, and it is consistently green. It is a garden easy to stroll through casually, or spend days, weeks, months studying the various plants available there. At the moment, it is still free, although donations are welcome.

Advice

  • See the Magnolias beginning in February, the Fragrance Garden in June, the Chilean garden in Oct-Nov, the Cloud Forest in Nov-Dec.
