What I Write About
I write about Northern New England Gardening and everything about it. I occasionally write about birds and other wildlife, or include news articles that pertain to gardening.
Why I Started My Gardening Blog.
I am a certified Master Gardener in CT and NH. I am not able to garden much anymore due to the frailties of age. However, nothing is wrong with my memory, so I do my gardening on-line.
I talk about what gardeners should be doing in their gardens.
Once a month I present a Calendar of Gardening Chores for that month (which generates many appreciative comments).
Whenever I get a question, either on-line or in talking with people, I try to address that in my blog. I assume if it's a question one person has, someone else will also be happy to hear about it. AND I try always to remember that there is "No such thing as a silly question". Just ASK!
Advice
- Look for bloggers who don't spend their valuable words, and your valuable time, talking about nonsense having nothing to do with Gardening. Unfortunately, there are too many of those!
- I use twitter to (hopefully) drive folks to my blog. It seems to work. Once I started using that, my visits rose.
- I do have a "counter" on my blog and I feel that is helpful.
