Here Mike engages in a little companion planting. The cucumbers are vining along with an assortment of nasturtiums and the beans are benefitting from both. Having flowers in the vegetable garden helps to attract pollinators. Vegetables don't always have the showiest blossoms. Nasturtiums, aside from being a wonderful edible flower, also act as a trap crop, attracting aphids away from the other plants.
