This rugosa rose is planted in front of my gazebo where I spend a great deal of time during sitting season. I tell myself that I'm sitting back studying my garden, but I know very well that I either got too hot or too lazy and wanted a break. Rugosas haven't been heavily hybridized and still provide an attractive target for butterflies.
