Umar gardens in north-west Pakistan where they must have a wonderful climate. The roses are always a delightful surprise, but it was these cheerful snapdragons that caught our eyes.
Scotty: I remember playing with snapdragons as a child and I guess I have come to take this bedding plant for granted but look at these dragons;fantastic. It has given me a new appreciation for this old time favourite.
Marie: I think a lot of us are guilty of overlooking snapdragons in favor of flashier perennials, but I'm hoping there are still some left in the garden center for me to snap up. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.) Umar's snapdragons make me want to pick an armful.
Congratulations, Umar!
