'Ashley' is a new introduction from The Cook's Garden, the company that opened our eyes to lettuces other than iceberg. 'Ashley' is being touted as heat tolerant and a good choice for snipping young, as a cut and come again variety. That means 'Ashley' is a great choice for smaller gardens and even containers, as well as any size garden that wants to try and have lettuce in the heat of summer. 'Ashley' is an oakleaf lettuce that grows into a lovely rosette, tinged with red, and the flavor is mild.
