Echinacea 'Fragrant Angel' may be mistaken as just another daisy, at first glance. But it's a coneflower, through and through. It's just as tough and long blooming as its name suggests, with the unexpected surprise of fragrance. I confess, I haven't experienced it yet, but I'm willing to bet it has to be better than the smell of daisies.

As its name implies, Echinacea 'Fragrant Angel' is mostly touted for its scent, but I keep hearing reports about how well it grows and how well its white color holds up. Granted, it doesn't look much like a coneflower. Not only do the petals not sweep back, but they're lined up in somewhat flat, double rows, 4-5 inches across. Butterflies love it because it gives them a landing pad to rest on.

If you're looking for a long blooming, scented, white flower to glow in your night time garden, Echinacea 'Fragrant Angel' fits the bill splendidly.
