Snapdragons are one of the most dependable cool season annuals, blooming long before the last frost date in spring and rallying again when the temperatures start to dip in the fall. Many times you can only find mixed color seed or cell packs available at the nursery in the spring, but with Snapdragon 'Florini® Amalia Bright Red', you'll know what you're getting.

I expect 'Florini® Amalia Bright Red' will probably also be sold as a potted, single plant, because it has a mounding habit, rather than the spikiness of traditional snapdragons, and is expected to be popular for baskets and planters. The bright red flowers are also very fragrant and flower well in full sun or partial shade. Of course, they start to fade out with the heat of summer. The plants grow about 15" tall and form a compact mound. (Annual.)
