If you've been frustrated by the floppy nature of Russian Sage or if you've got a smaller spot to fill, Russian Sage 'Taiga' will be a welcome addition. 'Taiga' only gets about 2 -2 1/2' tall and wide and the flower spikes grow upright. 'Taiga' is also the first Russian sage available as a first year flowering perennial, flowering in a bright sky-blue. The silver leaved plant is deer resistant and handles drought and frost well. Here's more about growing and choosing Russian Sage. (Perennial. USDA Zones 5-9)
