Gerber Daisies (Gerbera Daisy, Transvaal Daisy, African Daisy, Barberton Daisy) have a unique appeal. Some people don't care for their vivid colors, but most of us are fascinated by how clear their color is. I've seen some that looked almost artificial.

Gerber Daisy 'Crush Mix' is far more subtle in color, in shades of pink from watermelon to first blush. The flowers are still flat and wide enough for the butterflies they attract to sit on. The semi-double 4" blooms repeat bloom throughout the summer. The plants themselves grow only about 12" high and work equally well in borders or containers. Gerber Daisies also make a great cut flower.

Gerbera F1 'Crush Mix' is available from seed through the Park Seed Company. Here's more on how to grow Gerber daisies. (Annual / Tender Perennial USDA Zones 9-10)
