Marigolds are one of the most popular plants to grow in gardens, and with good reason. They bloom their little hearts out all summer long and require very little attention. The National Garden Bureau has made 2010 The Year of the Marigold.
There are hundreds of marigold varieties, some with pompom flowers, others with tiny, jewel toned, daisy-like blooms. You can always find a couple of varieties of marigolds at your local garden center, but for the best selection, grow your own. Marigold seeds are quick and easy to grow.
