First things first: gather the following tools and supplies to begin the transformation from gourd to bird house.
- Gourds
- Drill
- 3/8" 1/4" and 1 3/8" Drill Bits
- Small Knife
- Sand Paper
- Wire
- 1/4" Dowel
teaspoon
- Wood Glue
Later on we're also going to use a little bleach and maybe some steel wool.
And if you plan on decorating your bird house, you'll need paints, brushes and varnish. I recommend using a spray varnish on the final gourd bird house, whether or not you paint it.
