If you find yourself at the last minute, searching for a quick and lovely idea for the center of your Thanksgiving table, look no further than your own plants. Indoor, outdoor, fresh or dried - if they look beautiful in the yard or on a windowsill, they'll look just as good on the table. Here are 4 instant centerpieces that are certainly turkey worthy.

I've always thought that fall was the easiest season to decorate. There are such beautiful colors and textures and almost everything is dried and everlasting. Even a bouquet of interesting twigs can be stunning. I was once asked to come up with some ideas for foraging the yard to create Thanksgiving centerpieces. If you have any kind of a garden or live near woods, it's not hard to do. It's a great project for including the kids.

If you've got the time and the creativity to start decorating and entertaining for this holiday season, let these fall projects from our Entertaining and Interior Decorating Guides inspire you. Some are as simple and classic as cranberries and cream carnations and others overflow with gourds, leaves, nuts, even cand ycorn. (And you know the candy corn is always left over.) Take a look at these photos and then take a walk around the yard.
