The cactus family (Cactaceae) includes over 2,000 species. They are all perennial and succulents, but the vast differences are too large to try to categorize them here.

The Euphorbia genus also contains about 2,000 species with a lot of variation. I think the one pictured here is a E. polychroma, also known as Cushion Spurge.

  • Colors: Yellow and Green
  • Height: 14" Width: 12 - 24"
  • Bloom Period:Mid-spring to Mid-summer
  • Exposure: Full Sun
  • Notes: Poinsettia, Crown of Thorns, Gopher Spurge and the Living Baseball are all in the Euphorbia genus.
