In California, Cineraria 'Stellata'. It has gorgeous huge purple or blue flower heads. Looks great with ferns. It comes back reliably, reseeds itself, and it can grow in amazingly shallow soil! At times, I have as many as 11 deer in my garden and they ignore it. It grows best in semi shade. Prefers cool weather. Submitted by Wendy Spakowski
