The Cool Season bedding Plant category is new for 2006. The plant trial is conducted over 14 months and includes fall and spring plantings. The judges rate qualities that include: general performance, length of bloom, winter hardiness and spring recovery.
'Diamonte Coral Rose' is an exceptional Diascia in many regards. It blooms earlier, has a wonderful branching habit that encourages more blooms, it stays in bloom longer and it is somewhat frost tolerant. The coral blossoms are produced on spikes, covering the full plant.
'Diamonte Coral Rose' will grow to about 8 - 10 inches in height, with an 18 inch sspread. When used in containers expect it to cascade down the sides. 'Diamonte Coral Rose' also makes an attractive edger.
