This zinnia reminds me of a coreopsis. It’s not the pompom flowers of the first 2 Zahara zinnias we viewed. Zinnia ‘Zahara Starlight Rose’ is the first bicolor rose and white zinnia and it has all the great features of the prior two Zahara series zinnias: it’s extremely disease resistant and it flowers all season.
The larger 2 ½ inch flowers will convince you that it’s not a coreopsis. I’m hoping they keep coming out with new colors in this particular series. Zinnias take the heat even better than I do.
Growing Zinnia ‘Zahara Starlight Rose’: Zinnias like warm soil and growing conditions, so don’t put them out until the soil has warmed. Lots of sun is the key to lots of blooms. Start them indoors in cool climates. You can direct seed in warmer locations.
