Zinnia 'Zowie! Yellow Flame' brightens up containers and borders and makes an excellent cut flower.Savlia farinaceea 'Evolution' has tested well in drought tolerant areas and shows minimal pest problems.  It even keeps blooming when not deadheaded.  So if you are looking for a low maintenance annual, check out 'Evolution'.
