Got Aphids?
Two Homemade Sprays for Fighting Aphids
Saturday April 12, 2008
We have a new Organic Gardening Guide here at About. Colleen Vanderlinden is just getting her site revved up, but already she has some wonderful tips for all of us who would rather limit the use of chemicals in our yards. Like these 2 Homemade Sprays for Fighting Aphids. Let’s face it, we all encounter an aphid or 2 in our gardens. (Who am I kidding? When have you ever seen 1 or 2 aphids?) Take a look and be prepared when the little pests put in an appearance. And keep tabs on Colleen’s site for more OG help.

Can recommend the garlic spray. When used to the max on lettuce, you don’t need salad dressing.
Forgot to mention nicotine spray. Same technique as garlic spray, substitute same amount tobacco). Kills everything that moves - and your tomato plants if you spray them. Very effective on a one off basis to protect seedlings.
