Whether you're preparing for the snow plows or sitting at your beach house and laughing at those of us who are, salt tolerant plants are a need we have in common. As About's Guide to Landscaping explains, salt in the soil or from a salty spray can prevent plants from absorbing water - not a good thing. But as always, there are plants for this problem situation, too. If you've been watching your plants suffer in salt, do both of you a favor and plant some of these salt tolerant plants instead.
