I have a small water garden that I tend to fill with all kinds of tropical plants. It requires next to no maintenance during the summer, but come fall, everything has to come out. And I mean everything. I used to be much lazier about it, but that just resulted in having to drain and clean the whole thing in the spring. I'd rather scoop and lift in the last lingering days of fall, than add one more thing to my rushed spring clean-up. So here are my suggestions for those of you wondering how to winterize your water gardens.
