A Year of Wildflowers

I wrote about elderberry being the herb of the year, but there are other plants being recognized this year. It is also the Year of the Wildflower.

There's no explicit definition of wildflower. Your wildflower could be someone else's native plant or even a weed. No matter. I think they're lovely. I leave some growing in the yard and some are even welcome in the borders. What's you favorite wildflower?
