There are a handful of plants we all rely on as dependable, sure bets. That's how Impatiens have always been viewed. They provide color in shade and bloom throughout the summer with little care. So it's very disheartening to hear about the increasing prevalence of downy mildew on Impatiens. It's been a hot topic of conversation on our forum.Symptoms are subtle and you might think your plants simply need a little food, but the problem is bigger than that. Unfortunately, there is no cure. But there are some things we can do to prevent its spread.

Thanks Marie.
A very informative blog.
I hope you didn’t spend too much of your weekend on it but we are all grateful:)
Cheers
Hi, Scotty. I’m so hoping this isn’t going to become a long term problem. I need my white impatiens to fill out my shade garden. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I am glad I found this article! I had no idea that whats eradicated my plants this year. I was worried I had done it because I have never in the past had an issue. So sad to see our beautiful lush borders and pots turn to twiggy lime green death….
