Appreciate Your Efforts on Labor Day

Happy Labor Day. I hate that it's considered the last day of summer. The garden doesn't have a clue that it's time to call it quits. Gardens are demanding. I like to think of Labor Day as a pause to enjoy what we've accomplished.

Seriously, how often do you just sit and enjoy your garden? I'm talking about relaxing with a cold drink and not darting your eyes about looking at the weeds you missed and the plants that need dividing or moving...  Today, grab a book or invite some friends over. Just sit and enjoy.

Good for you, Cheryl. That means next year is year 3 – when things really start to take off. Stand back.

I took the day off too. Drank coffee, played with the kittens. We had a great time. Next year, more fall oriented plants!
