A Continuous Garden in Minutes

Yesterday I started writing about maintaining your garden in 15 minutes a day, rather than playing catch-up on the weekend. Today's 15 minute gardening tip is elegantly simple. My fellow Guide Colleen Vanderlinden blogged about it at the beginning of the month and I just said "brilliant".

You've seen me write about succession planting. Well Colleen's tip for keeping the vegetable garden growing all season is to plant something new every week. So in your 15 minutes today, plant a row of a fast growing crop, like carrots, beets, scallions or lettuce, and choose a new one to seed next week. Voila, a continuous harvest without ever having to check the calendar or keep notes.
