I've asked this before and now seems like a good time to revive the question. Many of us started our gardens with pass along plants. A willingness to share is one of the wonderful things about gardeners. But let's be realistic, some of these plants should come with caution labels. I'm still pulling armfuls of burgundy leaved Lysimachia ciliata var. purpurea out of a border and although I love New England Asters, enough is enough.
As with most gardeners, my garden is in a constant state of revision. I don't mind that at all. I call it gardening. Still, today instead of passing along a plant, let's pass along our warnings. What plant do you wish you'd never planted in your garden? We've had a lot of fun with this one over the years. I wonder if things have changed?
