I always seem to plant more than I could possibly eat or even give away. I guess that means it's time to start sterilizing the glass jars and simmering sauces. Last week I offered some recipes for pickles, one of the easiest ways to preserve fresh vegetables for the winter. Here are a few more tips for preserving your harvest, from The National Center for Home Food Preservation and yours truly. We'll eat well this winter.
