It's so frustrating to finally start harvesting perfect looking cucumbers, only to bite in and find their taste bitter and disappointing. And it's no consolation that there are so many of them.
The biggest cause for bitter cucumbers is stress, and we've had enough of that this summer. It can be long dry spells or not enough sun. Yes, even though cucumbers plants seem like over-achievers, quantity does not always mean quality.
