It's always wise to have a few projects up your sleeve, for when the kids are home for an extended period of time. I love this idea from our Family Crafts Guide because it's easy and quick and because if they do it outside, the kids can make a mess and the birds will clean it up. So the next time you're at the grocery store, pick up a few supplies and put the kids to work let the kids play. Then watch how much fun the birds (and probably a few squirrels) have.

left over bagels? good idea! this summer we had to hang out a bag of suet for the flicker, he raised so much h#ll, we had to feed him! we just put suet in an onion bag and they go crazy. hope everyone had a lovely holiday. and happy new year to all.
I wondered If someone would question the likelihood of left over bagels, lol But isn’t it amazing how many uses there are for old onion bags?
