Controlling Beetles

Wednesday May 7, 2008
Diseased trees are real heart breakers. By the time you notice symptoms, it’s probably too late to treat the tree. Insects infesting trees are a little easier to catch early, but you need to know what you’re looking for. This poor red maple tree didn’t stand a chance against the Asian longhorned beetle. Luckily the Asian longhorned beetle isn’t everywhere, but there are plenty more tree loving beetles out there to be aware of. About.com’s Guide to Trees and Shrubs gives us some Surefire Ways to Get Rid of Beetles. If you’ve noticed small holes in a tree of yours, it’s worth a look.
