Does a Desperate Housewife Have Time to Worry About Gardening?
What do a Desperate Housewife, a Hero, Wild Hogs and a little Nip/Tuck have to do with gardening? Stars from each of these (and more) are putting autographed gardening kits up for auction at Clothes Off Our Back, a celebrity studded Not-for-Profit that benefits children's causes. Usually they literally auction their clothes or costumes, but this time they’ve partnered with the Pure & Natural® company, best known for their biodegradable skin care products. Pure & Natural® provided the eco-friendly totes for the gardening kits, which include: a Pure & Natural® Bar Soap (The soap comes wrapped in paper embedded with flower seeds. Plant the wrapper, grow a garden and use the soap to clean up.), an assortment of floral seeds & a mini-gardening tool kit. That’s William H. Macy over there, signing his.
If you’re in the market for a novel gardening gift or an unusual Easter basket, stop by and place a bid. The auction is ongoing until Monday, March 10th. Proceeds will go toward. Earth Pledge’s "Seed Blitz", a school-based gardening program aimed at helping city kids make a connection with - the earth. 625 schools in 25 U.S. cities will be participating. So a whole lot of kids will have their hands in the soil, instead of on the remote control.
