Are Dried Flowers Bad Feng Shui?

Tuesday February 5, 2008
That’s what I’ve always heard. Of course, since dried flowers eventually need to be dusted and I can think of no more objectionable chore than dusting, I look for any excuse not to keep dust collectors on display. Still, there’s something sentimental and romantic about preserving your favorite flowers and a dried flower bouquet or wreath, for anyone without a dusting aversion, can bring pleasure far longer than a vase of roses. Our Feng Shui Guide, Rodika Tchi, was asked this question by a reader and does a good job of explaining when dried flowers enhance and when to let them go. As Rodika reminds us, Ancient Feng Shui masters had a very beautiful saying - "Trust what your heart is thinking."

I agree, I would rather not dust if I don’t have to. So why not photograph the bouquet or wreath and display it as a grouping with others that you want for remembering those sentimental moments.

That’s a good idea for so many things that just turn into clutter, but you hate to part with.
