New Roses for 2008
Friday January 25, 2008
Roses evoke many feelings, but to too many gardeners, roses evoke fear. That’s a shame really, because modern roses are getting easier and easier to grow - without losing any of their beauty. The All America Rose Selections (AARS) have announced their winners for 2008. Only 2 roses were chosen. Both are rich pastel blends with a hint of fragrance. Take a look at this year’s AARS winning roses.

Your links do not work very often in your columns. This is the 3rd tims Ive tried to read one of your stories where the underlined link did not take me to what the article was talking about
I agree – the whole link thing is, in fact, rather annoying. I thoroughly enjoy the column but go to it infrequently because of the hassle.
Why doesn’t the provider simply set up a space in which all of Marie’s tips and tricks, as well as responses, photographs, and further related links, appear in one place?
Sorry for the delay. I do try and test all the links before I post them, but sometimes I mess things up when I go in to edit them. I fully appreciate how annoying and frustrating broken links can be and I’ll make every effort not to disappoint you again. I hope you enjoy the roses.
I pulled a ’seed pod’ type case from a blue rose plant. Can I start plants from these seeds?
I didn’t know there was a blue rose on the market yet. I had read they were working on breeding them, but if they have, it would be a hybrid. So although the seeds will probably grow, they won’t look your plant. They’ll have features from one of your plant’s parents.
Do you have the name of your rose?
