Gardening Question of the Week
How Do You Grow Herbs on a Windowsill?

Friday January 25, 2008
On the About Gardening Forum, Mary wrote: “Hi everyone. A neighbor keeps talking about his indoor herb garden and that make me want to start one. I would like to know about growing small herbs in my window sill and how to get started. In particular I would like to grow herbs that I could use in cooking. Thank you.”

I pointed Mary to How To Grow Herbs on your Windowsill and the video on planting a potted herb garden. I find the hardest part about growing herbs indoors is getting a plant large enough to clip frequently, but small enough to remain indoors. If any of you have suggestions for Mary, I’m sure she’d love it if you’d share them.
