You've probably wondered this yourself: you plant things you're told are deer resistant and yet - the deer eat them. The frustrating truth is - Deer Can’t Read. They apparently have no idea that coreopsis is clearly on the list of plants they don’t prefer. While no plant is immune from deer damage, selecting plants from one of these regional lists of deer resistant plants is still a wiser way to plan your garden than spending a fortune on a deer buffet.

The best way to keep deer out of your garden is by convincing your neighbor to plant something deer LOVE in THEIR garden.
That’s kind of like what I tell people with Japanese beetle problems. Put one of those pheromone traps in your neighbor’s yard. (I have to be careful saying that, because even though they laugh, I can see they’re tempted.)
