Salt Tolerant Plants for Beach Landscaping (or Snow-Plowed Roadsides)

Monday December 10, 2007
Whether you’re preparing for the snow plows or sitting at your beach house and laughing at those of us who are, salt tolerant plants are a need we have in common. As About’s Guide to Landscaping explains, salt in the soil or from a salty spray can prevent plants from absorbing water - not a good thing. But as always, there are plants for this problem situation too. If you’ve been watching your plants suffer in salt, do both of you a favor and plant some of these salt tolerant plants instead.
