In the comments about last week’s poll on winter interest, several people mentioned the beauty of rose hips. I’m a big fan of rose hips too, although we don’t get to see a lot of them because gardeners tend to keep their roses well pruned. But these orangy-red berries aren’t just lovely to behold, they taste pretty darn good too. And they’re surprisingly easy to use in everything from tea soup to dessert. What are rose hips?
