Tomato Blossom Drop

Everyone wants the first ripe tomato on the block. But nature can be cruel and just when we think our tomato plants are ready to start setting fruit, the flowers shrivel and drop off. It’s cruel, but not uncommon, so don’t panic and kill your plants by fussing over them. As with most frustrating garden problems, blossom drop can have any of several causes, from no bees for pollination to too heavy a fruit set.
