Indoor Bulb Gardening

Wednesday November 30, 2005
Why wait for spring to enjoy spring bulbs? There's plenty of time to force some bulbs into bloom indoors. Some, like amaryllis and paperwhites, don't require much more than heat and water. Others will need a period of pre-chilling or faking winter. But that's easy enough to do and the payoff will be pots of cheerful blooms during those dreay days when winter won't move on. You can even find bulbs that have been pre-chilled for you. What could be easier than that? Photo Courtesy of frysis at stock.xchng
