Your Garden on a Postage Stamp!

Sunday November 20, 2005
There's a new way to show off your garden photos. You can have them made into US postage stamps. PhotoStamps is a company with a license from the USPS to create personalized valid US postage stamps from your photos. They first became popular for wedding & birth announcements and special events, but many people started using the service to personalize everyday mail. All you have to do is upload your photo to their web site and do some basic editing (zoom, crop, rotate...). They come in 23 cent (postcards), 37 cent (regular first class) and $3.85 (packages) versions. The minimum order is one sheet of 20 stamps and there is a sizable processing fee (Twenty 37 cent stamps comes to $16.99). But if you'd like to distribute your garden photos, it's a novel idea.
