No Space to Garden? Look Up.
Monday October 31, 2005
My notion of a raised bed has always been building up the planting bed by a foot or two. I like raised beds because they let the soil heat up more quickly in the spring and allow it to drain more readily in any season. They're also kinder on the back, because of less bending. But Landscaping's David Beaulieu has taken raised beds to new heights, literally, with this clever and very attractive raised bed project that doubles as a planter and a storage unit. If you thought you couldn't squeeze out any more space for gardening, take a look at Landscaping for Small Yards: Building Raised Beds
