Black Foliage Shrubs to Add Color to Your Garden

There's been a lot of excitement in England recently with the introduction of two new Elderberries. Sure, elderberries are great shrubs. But what made these introductions so exciting was their near black foliage. Sambucus 'Black Beauty' and 'Black Lace' are elegant additions to any border, offering long season interest with fragrant, pink, summer blossoms and dark, fall berries to complement the black-purple foliage. Who would have thought that gardeners would be so intrigued by black foliage? One look at these beauties should convince you.
