Is Lawn Care Gardening?
Wednesday March 23, 2005
One the many thrills spring brings is that wonderful flush of green in the lawn. Many gardeners think of lawns as merely edging and pathways between their gardens. Even so, lawns don’t take care of themselves and spring weather doesn’t last forever. Who better than our Landscaping expert, David Beaulieu, to give us some tips on establishing a lawn worthy of edging our flower borders. The right seed, some initial TLC and an occasional stroll behind the mower and your lawn will become an asset instead of a chore.
Or maybe you’d like to consider some alternatives. How about a moss carpet, for those shady areas. What about a groundcover, since that’s really what lawn is, that offers a bit more interest and is deer resistant? There’s no reason your gardening talents have to end at the garden border.
